Monokino's album came out on Zip Records in 2014, since then lead singer George van Wetering has been touring China and is now signed to Chinese independent music label (and festival organization) Modern Sky. George has been collaborating with a popular Chinese singer-songwriter by the name of Lianchen, who was a finalist in Chinese talent show "Sing My Song". The show is similar to the format of "The Voice" - except contestants must perform their original composition rather than covering songs by other artists.
George has been hired as a songwriter and music arranger for Lianchen's songs and wrote full original compositions that made it to Liangchen's new album which will be released later this year.
