Singles have the most fun. For the summer of 2023, we release a batch of them. Starting with Sjors van der Panne's intimate "Als ik ooit wil gaan" which was released on June 2, the electrified "I Cyborg" by Snowapple introduced a whole new side to the (once) Dutch trio.
What would summer be without "Summer Song" by the Amsterdam guitar master Jac Bico? Perfect for the holiday road trip is "Honk Honk" a jazz instrumental from the Dutch quartet known as The Pulitzers.
Rounding out the June singles extravaganza is the melodic, moody and magnificent "Lonely Town" by singer-songwriter David Middelhoff.
Follow along here......There is a BIG event on 5 November 2022 at Amsterdam's Ziggodome. Called "Fiesta de la Vida" and headlined by JB Meijers and Barry Hay, the duo have recorded a new album in anticipation of the show. On 22 April, the duo's new album will come out on Zip Records. Also entitled "Fiesta de la Vida, it will come out on CD AND vinyl (a double disc). Not just party music, the tracks will also chase the daily blues away and bring sunshine to your life.

Back to the Future
Zip Records returns to its roots. With a slew of releases by Swedish artists in the early 2000's, Zip has since evolved into a label concentrating on the wealth of talent found in the Netherlands.
Now, in 2021, we are pleased to announce a collaboration with Nordic music company Playground Music.
Playground Music was founded in the same year as Zip (1999) and has become the largest Scandinavian indie label.
The collaboration with Zip Records includes distribution, promotion and publicity for several successful Dutch artists in the territories of Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland and the Baltic countries.

Julia Zahra's "Remedy" is sweet soulful comfort for these troubled times; "Circus of Lies" by JB Meijers is a jolt of aggressive rock and Snowapple's "Afternoon" lifts one to a journey of harmony and dischord told through the voices and instruments of three musical wonders.
All three tracks are the perfect soundtrack for these Covid soaked times. Undoubtedly, they will also stand the test of time and be accessed by the next generations looking for comfort, energy and creative inspiration. A bold statement for bold music!

An extensive and exclusive collaboration between Amsterdam's Zip Records and China's JZ Music has begun. In a grass roots attempt to cross pollinate jazz and soul artists between the territories of the Netherlands and China. Each label is well established in their respective territories and well positioned to make this unique partnership successful.
The initial artists involved in this venture are Laura Fygi (NL), Monokino (NL), Monique Klemann (NL), Coco Zhao (China) and others soon to be announced.
