Soms dienen zich liedjes aan die een eigen ‘vehikel’ behoeven. In het voorjaar van 2016, na de tour rond het 10de Sjako! album ‘the10th’, ‘lazerden de liedjes voor Bullhorn uit het plafond van mijn werkkamer’, aldus zanger/gitarist Wouter Planteijdt.
Hij vond drummer Mischa Porte en contrabassist Gerco Aerts bereid om dit repertoire met hem te gaan spelen. In tegenstelling tot het complexe Sjako!-repertoire gingen de heren nu op zoek naar een open en akoestisch geluid. Geen dubs, alles live. Dit resulteerde in het album Planteydt - Bullhorn, dat dit najaar op cd en vinyl uitkomt bij Zip Records.
Onder regie van Eva Bauknecht zal het theaterconcert Bullhorn worden samengesteld, met als leidraad de ongemakkelijke keuze tussen de barricades (Bullhorn) en het isolement van de werkkamer (Monastery).
Verder zal de vrouw in alle toonaarden bezongen en muzikaal uitgepakt worden.
