The Dutch trio Mell & Vintage Future signed with Zip Records on june, 2018. After releasing the single ‘Alright’ the band concentrated on finishing the recordings for the self-titled album which will be released on May 10.
Vintage Future are two veterans in their prime.
Nico Brandsen, the Hammond organ artist is known for his edgy (often referred to as magical) playing with the likes of Ilse deLange, Kane and Jan Akkerman. In the band he plays a unique and hybrid Hammond and as an added attraction, rarely seen in pop music, the footbass.
Ton Dijkman is considered one of Holland’s finest musicians. As a session drummer he has contributed to hundreds of records and he has been Dutch superstar Marco Borsato’s drummer for two decades.
Mell (Melanie Jonk) is an amazing vocalist and songwriter. Her contagiously engaging and powerful voice is balanced by a tenderness and charm rarely encountered in the Netherlands - or anywhere else for that matter.
